ERGONOMIC Advantage: T’ai Chi teaches good poster and body alignment so that physical exertion can be done to maximize mechanical advantage, and simultaneously strengthen the body while minimizing the risk of injury. Some examples of how this training can be applied to daily-life situations are: safe lifting of heavy loads, efficient snow shoveling, how to use your body, not your arms when giving a massage, etc.
