3This may be a private collection picture. It is a picture of Yim Shan Wu and (we believe) Lung Chi Cheung, possibly on the roof top of an apt located in HK. The two men are demonstrating Tai Chi Pushing Hands. This is probably sometime in the early 50's, based on both men's appearance and clothes. It is difficult to verify this since the picture is small, and the original source has not yet been determined. . Picture Yim Shan Wu (Yeung Shim Mo) on the left, Lung Tzu Hsiang (Lung Chi Cheung on the right with Kuo Yu Chang standing in the background. This is a picture of them practicing Northern Shaolin Sparring set in KYC's private Kwangchu National Arts Society School. Picture was taken in 1930. 5 Picture of Lung with a straight sword. This was part of a collection of pictures of Lung performing Northern Shaolin Dragon Shape Sword which was Lung's favorite sword set. Lung wrote a short manual of this sword set and was published in the local daily newspaper as a way to promote his school and teach the general public a sword set. The year and the name of the local newspaper are not known. The picture may have been taken around early 1950's and perhaps no later than 1955. However years later, the same series was published in a martial arts magazine in about 1970. I (Sifu Louie) calculated Lung's birth date from an article, "Southern and Northern Master, Lung Tzu Hsiang, New Martial Hero #23, 1970(?), HK, Page 26 -31.
The original article says he died in 1957 at the age of 56 years old. (Caption courtesy of Sifu Robert Louie of The Jing Mo Physical Cultural Association is located in San Bruno, California)
According to the DVD of "Koo's Tai Chi" released after 2007, from Lung Kai Ming, Lung Chi Cheung's grandson, Lung Chi Cheung was born in 1909 and died in 1963.
The following images are from Leung Chi Cheung's book, Taiji Xue, published in 1952. These images were received courtesy of Mr. Paul Brennan, who located them on an online market. Unfortunately the book had already been sold. ????«????»(????)????? ?????1952? (still searching for a complete copy...)
